I found these slides online. I think they are quite useful if you want to have a general idea of strategic management. It´s basically diagrams all the way. You might find these in plenty speciality books. I like to include in my reports a simple identification of the company´s strategy, because it helps understand what the main drivers of the business and market conditions are. I use the Porter´s five forces a lot.

This seems to work quite well for most industries. Not so well for financial companies (insurance banking, etc) and that´s why I am not including any report from the financial industry on my blog.
